Security and Access Doors from Roller Shutter Doors
Single-Skin Traditional Roller Shutter Doors

Whatever the size or finish of the shutter curtain, power operated or manual operation, standard or fire-rated we can generally offer a guide price proposal by return.

Roller Shutter Doors consist essentially of a curtain of interlocking slats which form a continuous hinge along their entire length. This construction permits the curtain to roll up or down as it is raised or lowered onto a revolving spring loaded barrel which is mounted onto steel support brackets. A bottom rail fitted to the curtain strengthens the curtain and allows for the fitment of handles and locking devices. The curtain is also prevented from moving side-ways by side channels or guides. The entire assembly is either bolted or welded to the structure and the rolling mechanism is enclosed in a canopy hood.

Industrial Roller Shutters

Traditional roller shutter doors have been designed to suit industrial and commercial premises. Generally constructed from 75mm concave galvanised lath, with an option for plastisol and powder coating, size range from 9 to 60 mtrs sq, typical door operation push up self coiling operation/gearless and geared hand chain/single and three phase operation.

Standard Roller Shutter doors are designed to accept basic wind speeds up to and including 73mph (hurricane on Beaufort Scale) using wind speed factors S1=1,S2 - 0.74 + S3 =1 as defined in DOE Codes of Practice CP3 Chapter S1 part 2:1972, based on a totally enclosed structure. Roller shutters can be designed to accept greater wind speeds if required.

All door systems are installed by our fully trained fitters who are assessed to meet all the requirements of L.P.C.B ISO 9001:2008 and current health and safety requirements. All tools and equipment used are inspected monthly and meet all electrical and mechanical requirements.

Random site inspections are carried out to ensure a high standard of workmanship is maintained. All site inspections are documented and audited to ensure no irregular trends are apparent. Upon completion our clients are requested to inspect the installation to ensure all site work is carried out to their satisfaction.

DOOR PANELS:

Each 610mm x 40mm thick panel is formed from two 0.5mm galvanized steel facing sheets, bonded together with a high density, fire resistant, CFC-free foam core. Top panes are trimmed to suit the opening height. Inside facing sheets are stucco-embossed and finished in bright white polyester. Outside facing sheets can be stucco-embossed with polyester finish or smooth with Plasticol finish, in colours from our standard ranges. Panels can be factory painted on one or both sides any RAL or BS colour. The tongue and groove joints have a factory-filled compressible weatherseal. U-value, allowing for panels joints, is 0.60W/K, which is better than is required under current building regulations. Rubber weather seals are retained in aluminium extrusions on the top and bottom panels.
